History

In northern Arizona, Navajo County was formed in 1895 from Apache County. Its county seat, Holbrook, is on I-40 about 190 miles NNE of Phoenix. Navajo is bordered by the Arizona counties of Coconino, Apache, Gila and Graham  plus the state of Utah on the north.
