Osceola County
History
In the
Central/Space Coast Region of Florida,
Osceola County was formed in 1887 from
Brevard and Orange counties. Its county seat,
Kissimmee, is on
US-441, just off the Florida Turnpike, and is about about 15 miles south of
Orlando. Osceola is bordered by the
counties of
Orange,
Brevard, Indian River,
Okeechobee and Polk.
