History
In central Iowa,
Hamilton County was formed in 1856 from Webster
County. Its county seat, Webster City, is 9 miles west of I-35 and about about
60 miles north of Des Moines. Hamilton is bordered by the counties of
Wright, Hardy, Story, Boone and Webster.
