History
In central Indiana,
Grant County was formed in 1831 from Madison County,
the Adams New Purchase and from unorganized land. Its county seat, Marion, is
near I-69 about 55 miles northeast of
Indianapolis. Grant is bordered by the counties of
Wabash, Huntington, Wells, Blackford, Delaware, Madison, Tipton, Howard and
Miami.
