History
In central Indiana,
Hendricks County was formed in 1824 from the
Delaware and Wabash New Purchases. Its county seat, Danville, is on
US-76 about 25 miles west of
Indianapolis. Hendricks is bordered by the counties of
Boone, Marion, Morgan, Putnam and Montgomery.
