History

In the south central Kentucky part of the Pennyrile Region, Logan County was formed in 1792 from Lincoln County. Its county seat, Russellville, is on US-68 about 180 miles southwest of Lexington and 50 miles north of Nashville. Logan is bordered by the Kentucky counties of Todd, Muhlenberg, Butler, Warren and Simpson, as well as by the Tennessee county of Robertson.
