History

In the Crossroads region of central Louisiana, Beauregard Parish was formed in 1913 from Calcasieu Parish. Its parish seat, DeRidder, is on US-171 about 150 miles west of Baton Rouge. Beauregard is bordered by the Louisiana parishes of Vernon, Allen and Calcasieu, as well as by the Texas county of Newton.
