East Feliciana Parish

History

In the Plantation region of eastern Louisiana and formerly part of Florida, East Feliciana Parish was formed in 1824 from Feliciana Parish. Its parish seat, Clinton, is about 25 miles north of Baton Rouge. East Feliciana is bordered by the Louisiana parishes of West Feliciana, St. Helena and East Baton Rouge; and by the Mississippi counties of Amite and Wilkinson.
