Culpepper Family Tree Charts:
Culpeppers Not Linked to
Or with unknown linkage to
Henry Culpepper of Lower Norfolk

DNA Testing and Notation.
For those family
branches where a member is contained in the chart and is also a
member of our DNA project, we have
appended the members DNA Kit #
following the lowest-level family-branch name (These numbers have
meaning only to the publisher's of Culpepper and Associates and are
included here only for our convenience). Following the kit
number, we append in parentheses the working name of their DNA
subgroup. If the test has been ordered but not yet returned to the
lab, we place "Out" in parentheses. If the lab has not
yet provided test results, we place "In the Lab" in parentheses.
Printing. The charts can be printed if
you use Internet Explorer 7.0, but not earlier browsers.

3. International Branches
The Culpepers of
Barbados, Canada, India & Australia, and the Colepepers of South Africa
The
Barbados branch is headed by
the Rev. William Culpeper of
England and Barbados (b1605-1674) who was a grandson of William
Culpeper of Hunton and Wigsell. There are two major sub-branches of
the Barbados branch: the Colepepers of South Africa and the
Culpepers of Canada. These sub-branches are each headed by a
4-great-grandson of the Rev. William Culpeper of England and
Barbados (b1605). The Culpepers of India and Australia have been
shown by DNA to be closely related to the Barbados branch, but
neither is related to the American Culpeppers. The exact
connection between the Barbados and India branches is unknown,
but the Culpepers of India/Australia probably also descend from
William Culpeper of Hunton and Wigsell

The following
branches probably descend from William Culpeper of Hunton and
Wigsell, but the exact linkage is not known and these branches exist
within our family tree as unconnected or orphan branches.
Members of these branches are encouraged to participate in our
DNA project
to help determine whether or not these branches are descendants of
William, or are they cousins of the American Culpeppers.
Culpepers of British Guyana and Puerto
Rico

John Culpeper of Essex, England

Most of the following branches are traceable from someone born into
slavery.
Although it is possible there is a connection, no proof yet
exists for any of these
branches being descended from Culpeppers of
English descent. Members of
these branches are encouraged to
participate in our
DNA project
if they want
to see if a link extends back to the English Culpepers.
