The Culpepper 90 Plus Club

The Culpepper family has been blessed with good genes, as evidenced by many of our ancestors living well beyond normal life expectancies.

This section of Culpepper Connections!  honors those living Culpeppers aged 90 or more. They are sorted below by birthdate, from oldest to youngest.

Eleanor Culpepper Willingham, born in October 1908, is the 2nd daughter of Homer Lee Culpepper and Theodora Herring. Eleanor graduated from State Normal School for Women in Athens, GA. After a brief career as a school teacher, Eleanor found her niche in life as a social worker and worked in Whitfield, Troup, and Coweta Counties in Georgia until she retired in 1970. Eleanor is a natural historian and her accomplishments include a published history of her church in Lone Oak, Ga., "Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, 1844-1985". She was a major contributor to Lewis Griffin in his genealogy record of the George Washington Culpepper line recently published as one of the sections of the "Culpepper Chronicles". Cordie Lee Culpepper Register, born August 1911, is the widow of Sesh Register. A life-long resident of Echols County, in south Georgia, she is the daughter of Isaac Franklin Culpepper and Nannie Browning Culpepper, and is the granddaughter of Benjamin Sampson Culpepper and Dorcus Drucilla Horne Culpepper. Dessie Culpepper. born April 1914 in Brantley, AL, is the daughter of John Green and Lura Green Davie Culpepper, and a descendant of James Culpepper of Virginia. She now resides in Columbus, Georgia and has since she was very young. She never married and was a certified nurse for many years. (Submitted by her nephew, Mark Culpepper)  (#36159)
