Bobby Culpepper Appointed to
Develop Product and Business Channels For Performance Optimization Software

MATEO, Calif., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- MetiLinx, a pioneering developer of
performance optimization software for Web applications, today announced that
Bobby Culpepper, former CIO of Tesoro Petroleum, has joined MetiLinx as
vice president of product and business development. Culpepper will be
responsible for overseeing the expansion of the company's channel partnerships
and embedding partner ideals into the company's flagship product as it
evolves. As a former MetiLinx customer, Culpepper will bring his unique
perspective and business knowledge to the executive team to cultivate new
opportunities and markets. The MetiLinx system optimization and application
server software speeds the development and deployment of high-end Web-based
applications and forms the foundation for future scaling of the application.
The
appointment of Culpepper reflects the company's plan to continue to
forge strategic channel relationships with Global 2000 companies. Already,
MetiLinx counts Ernst & Young, Merrill Lynch, Cisco Systems, and Compaq
Computer Corporation among them. Culpepper is charged with enhancing
these relationships and forming new channels to deliver a robust product to
the marketplace.

In Culpepper 's most recent role with Tesoro, he worked with MetiLinx to
Web-enable all of Tesoro's applications development efforts. Previously, Culpepper,
was vice president of information technology for Phillips 66 Company, A
Division of Phillips Petroleum Company. While at Phillips Petroleum his
efforts were acknowledged in a Harvard Business case study for his leadership
in the implementation of the first executive information system. He is
credited with leading a major $300 million technology upgrade for three of
Phillips largest manufacturing facilities and for heading two successful SAP
implementations, first at Phillips and later at Tesoro. He holds a B.S. degree
in accounting from Oklahoma State and an MBA from University of Oklahoma.
