Regions Expands Knoxville Presence: Lewis Culpepper will be City President

Regions Financial Corp. has located a Regions Bank loan origination office on Kingston Pike and a full-service branch on Deane Hill Drive.

Lewis Culpepper will be city president of Regions Bank for the Knoxville area. He formerly was vice president at First National Bank and was with SunTrust for 24 years.

Regions, based in Birmingham, Ala., is a multi-bank regional holding company with 500 offices in six states. The company plans to open two more full-service branches, one at Peters Road and another at Forest Hill Road. Regions has six acquisitions pending in Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas and Florida.

After pending acquisitions are completed, Regions will be the nation's 24th-largest banking company, with $34 billion in assets and operating more than 650 banking offices in eight Southern states.
