Duncan Culpepper of Prescott defeats Wood for Circuit-Chancery Judge

In the race for circuit-chancery judge in District 8 North, Duncan Culpepper of Prescott defeated Wood for the Democratic nomination. There is no general election opponent. With 51 of 51 precincts reporting, unofficial results were:

Culpepper -- 2,692 or 52%
Wood -- 2,477 or 48% ..."

The judicial district mentioned encompasses portions of extreme southwestern Arkansas.

John (and Mary Yarbrough) Culpepper, son of Sampson Culpepper, son of Joseph Culpepper, son or Robert Culpepper, son of Henry Culpepper, son of John Culpeper the merchant, who emigrated to Virginia from England in the mid 1600's.
