Fire Fighters--from Capos Conley "Chip" Culpepper:

bulletMy eldest brother, Eddie Ashley Culpepper, was recently named Captain with the Hot Springs Village, Arkansas (Garland County) Fire Department. Eddie has been with the department for more than 15 years, and has served as a firefighter/paramedic with the HSVFD for that entire time.
bulletFrom 1982-84 my father, Conley Edward Culpepper, served as Fire Chief of the Fountain Lake Volunteer Fire Department (Garland County). At that time, he and my brothers Eddie Ashley Culpepper, Jack Rustin Culpepper, and Charles Brian Culpepper all served as volunteer firefighters.
bulletMy mother, Delphia Jane (Ashley) Culpepper served from 1980-87 as Secretary/Treasurer of the Fountain Lake Volunteer Fire Dept's Auxiliary.
bulletMy sister-in-law, (Jack Rustin's wife) Caroline Jane (Witherspoon) Culpepper currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the 70 West Volunteer Fire Department (also Garland County).
bulletMy late uncle Johnny Harrison "Harry" Culpepper was a Captain with the Pine Bluff Fire Department (Jefferson County), and was instrumental in the formation of the Arkansas State Fire Academy and also the Grapevine (Grant County) Volunteer Fire Department.
bulletMy grandfather Capos Conley "Cape" Culpepper was a Captain for a number of years during the 20s-30s with the Pine Bluff City Police Department.
bulletHis brother John Francis "Frank" Culpepper was Chief of Police in Pine Bluff around the turn of the 20th century, and was shot and killed in 1905 shortly after leaving that post, while serving as a night watchman.
