James B. Culpepper

James
B. Culpepper, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is director,
Logistics Management Directorate, Warner Robins Air Logistics Center,
Robins Air Force Base, Ga. As director, he is the principal logistics
adviser to the center commander. He is responsible for financial
oversight for the maintenance, requirements and acquisition budget
providing policy, guidance and support for long-range planning,
logistics management systems, management of worldwide inventory levels,
depot supply and overall depot maintenance and repair.
Culpepper entered federal service in 1969 as a co-op engineer trainee
at Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. He has
worked with the government of Japan as the base closure officer for Naha
Air Force Base, and negotiated joint use agreements and relocation
construction programs. Culpepper has directed acquisition logistics for
the joint cruise missile engine and program management for the logistics
management system modernization. He served as deputy of Detachment 25
and the Aircraft Management Directorate at the Sacramento Air Logistics
Center, McClellan Air Force Base, Calif. In these positions he directed
ALC program management, depot maintenance, and engineering and inventory
control.
