DAR and SAR Applications.
For persons
having an interest in joining either the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) or SAR
(Sons of the American Revolution), life can be made much easier if someone has already
done your leg work for you; meaning the named patriot is already listed and confirmed.
In
the event you find your ancestor listed above, you can obtain from the DAR a
copy of the proof provided by some other descendant of your ancestor. To do
this, submit a Request for Record,
DAR Form RGR-1000 (download a printable copy in
Adobe PDF format).
After obtaining your documentation, if you then want to
join the DAR, contact your local chapter and tell someone you are interested in joining.
They will have people to help you in filing your paperwork.
