Burial*17 Jan 1968 His body was interred on 17 Jan 1968 at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, Fulton Co., Georgia. Obituary: Mr. Walter W. Culpepper of 301-C Lakemore Drive, NE, died Jan. 15, 1968. Surviving are his wife; brother, Mr. Edwin Culpepper, Tallahassee, FL. Interment services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, at eleven o'clock at Westview. Dr. Monroe F. Swilley, Jr., officiating. H. M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill (Atlanta Constitution, 17 Jan 1968).8 
Biography* Walter's grand-nephew, William B. Culpepper, Jr., recalls, "Walter lived in New Orleans and was an executive with the Southern Railway. In fact, he envisioned and brought about the birth of the Crescent Limited daily trains between DC and New Orleans. It came right through Lagrange and I rode in his private rail car and loved it."
