Research note* Thomas Culpepper (born c 1843) was living next door to John E. Culpepper in 1900, and Thomas is presumed to have been John's father. Proof is lacking. John's marriage record to Alice Hill in 1886 lists his father as Thomas Culpepper and his mother as unknown.
