1830 Census1 Jun 1830 Thomas was probably a free white male, age 20 and under 30, in Sampson Culpepper Jr. of Norfolk's household, on the 1830 Census at Norfolk Co., Virginia.2 
Marriage*say 1837 He married Margaret Ann Martin say 1837. 
Death*10 Sep 1854 He died at Norfolk Co., Virginia, on 10 Sep 1854.3 
Biography* Thomas was a laborer working for James Hewett in 1850.

In 1854, he died of cholera. His wife Margaret was the informant for the death record. She listed his parents as Sampson and Polly Culpepper.

His will was proven 20 Dec 1854 (Will Bk 6, Page 385). It mentioned his wife
Margaret Martin, and his children Sarah, Virginia, Margaret. Daniel. L. Gayle, and R. B. Bain were witnesses. His children were mentioned in Norfolk VA Audits, as orphans and distributees, 1857 to 27 Oct 1858.
