| Biography* | | Published on 11/01/97, The Virginian-Pilot. Raymond Thomas ``Ray T.'' Culpepper, 82, of the 3400 block of Old Mill Road died Oct. 30, 1997. A native of Chesapeake, he was a retired chemist for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 34 years. He was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church since 1926 and the first charter member of Deep Creek Ruritan Club. He was a graduate of Deep Creek High School Class of 1932. Survivors include Harvey W. Miller Jr. and his wife, Theresa, of Chesapeake, Beth Hardison and Jason, Matthew, Jamie Miller, the Culpepper Family, the James Family, the White Family and a host of loving and caring family and friends. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Deep Creek Baptist Church by Dr. Roscoe A. Musselwhite and the Rev. Ernie W. Myers. Burial will be in the Culpepper Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, and Monday at 3417 Old Mill Road, Chesapeake. |
