| Biography* | John McClennan Culpepper, 88, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, in Williamsburg. He was the widower of Alice M. Culpepper and a member of Cradock United Methodist Church. He was a Mason and former member of the Bide-a-Wee Golf Club. Survivors include a sister, Louise Brinkley of Jacksonville, Fla; and a brother, Vernon Culpepper of Delaware. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, is handling arrangements.
