| Biography* | In 1854, William and Caroline sold to Jenks W. Williams, a lot in the Alves Addition (Henderson Co. KY Deed Bk. P., p. 453). . In 1860, William was a master blacksmith. He is said to have been a stone mason, and carver. . From Steve Ehrler: "I got interested in William and Sarah [William's second wife] as the two of them were a family legend that my great aunt passed along to our family. The two were alledgedly on a boat on the Ohio river when it sank. They swam ashore, and, not knowing anyone else, stuck together, fell in love and the rest is history - at least that is what the legend is." |
