Burial will be in Pontotoc Memorial Park Cemetery with Browning Funeral Home in charge. He was 44. Mr. Culpepper, who was a mechainc for Jackson Implement Co in Pontotoc, died of a sudden heart attack at his home at 5:15 pm Saturday. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a World
War II veteran. He leaves his wife, Mrs Marie Davis Culpepper, (to whom he was married on Feb 6, 1945); three daughters, Betty, Joy and Cindy, all of the home; three sons, David and Wayne of the home and Harry of Pontotoc; his father James David Culpepper, Jr. of Bruce; four sisters, Mrs Mary Collins of Shannon, Mrs Ruby Gregory of Smithville, Mrs Earline Russell of Houlka and Mrs Elsie Gregory of Bruce; three brothers, Milton of Tupelo, Bob of Okolona and Billy of Hatley. The body will be at the Culpepper residence until time for services. (Note from Royce Culpepper, submitter - The article refers to J D as Jr, but he is in fact the third J D Culpepper. He and his
wife were first cousins, she was the daughter of his aunt Sally Floyd
