Biography* Georgia death certificate, file #15777-47: Thomas Jefferson PATE, a white widower, died aged 88 years, 9 months, and 19 days, died on 04 JUL 1947 at home in Rural Farm District #2, Juniper (in Georgia Militia District 668), Talbot County, Georgia. He had lived in this community 11 days (stricken and replaced by ‘lifetime”). He was not a citizen of a foreign country. His occupation was listed as farmer, in the agriculture business. He was the widower of Susie (CULPEPPER) PATE. He was born 15 SEP 1858 in Chattahoochee County, Georgia, the son of John PATE [birth place not given] and Martha WEATHERS (birthplace unknown). The deceased was last seen alive by the attending physician on 03 JUL 1947 and died at 9:20 a.m. of coronary thrombosis, which had persisted for a duration of 3 days. The attending physician was B. RAINEY of Buena Vista [Marion County], Georgia, who signed on 07 JUL 1947. The registrar was Henry F. LOWE, and the certificate was filed on 05 JUL 1947. The person burying the body was B. G. PATE, who was also the informant, of R. 2, Juniper, Georgia. [This is Bartow Gordon PATE, Tom’s son.].
