(Captain in Co B, 55th GA Infantry, and was captured at Cumberland Gap, 9 Sep 1863. (See his biography)). 
Death*1882 He died in 1882. 
Biography* From a book of biographies, name and date unknown, but probably published in the 1890's: "David was born in North Carolina and was the son of John Gordon, a distant relative of Governor Gordon. He was a Captain in Co B, 55th GA Infantry, and was captured at Cumberland Gap, 9 Sep 1863. He also served in the Indian Wars, and was Justice of the Peace for about 15 years, which occurred in 1882."
