| Biography* | Source of the following: Lauderdale Co., MS Probate Court Record Book D, p. 140, June Term 1851, as transcribed by Ruth Cohlmia Articles exempt from Levy and distribution of estate allowed to Mrs. Elizabeth Culpepper widow of Simeon Culpepper Source of the following: Lauderdale Co., MS Court Docket 1852 -- 1855 p. 409, as transcribed by Ruth Cohlmia The final account of James Rainer administrator of the estate of Simeon Culpepper deceased having been filed and probated at the December term 1854 at this court, and the same having been continued for want of knowing the heirs of said estate and the said administrator having appeared by his attorney and filed a list of heirs of said estate. It was ordered by the court that his account be set for hearing at the April term next of this court. And it is ordered by this court that citations issue to Sampson, Joseph, Owen, Betty, and John Culpepper. And that said administrator put up notice at the court house door and in three public places in the county six weeks previous to final settlement, notifying Ira Bucklaloo, Enock Buckaloo, J. Willis and Laurena his wife notifying them to appear at the April term next of this court and show cause if any why said account should not be allowed. [Ruth Cohlmia notes that she has done extensive research on Buckaloo / Buckalew, etc. and that no evidence of an Enock Buckaloo has been found.
