Biography* Leland Culpepper was one of the leading researchers on the descendants of the Joseph Culpepper who died in 1816 in Jackson County, GA, and particularly on the branches of this family which moved to Mississippi. Most of our material on the Mississippi descendants of this Joseph was originally collected over a period of many years, by Leland.2
