Biography* William R. Culpepper married Julia Haynes at the "S. A. Haynes" residence. This was presumably Julia's father. Julia was noted with her husband and children in Lavaca Co., TX census records through 1900 after which the family apparently moved to Bosque Co., TX where William R. Culpepper apparently died. Julia Culpepper was noted as a widow in the 1910 census of Bosque Co., TX. Her youngest daughter, Mattie, was living with her. Julia was listed as having had eight children, six of whom were still living in 1910. Only seven of the children have been accounted for.
