Mrs. T. D. (Patty Bennett) McGinty wrote 25 Jul 1988 that Nancy's middle name was probably "Oglethorpe." Mrs. McGinty also wrote that Nancy had been born in Randolph Co., AL but in the 1840 census closest to Nancy's birth the family was listed in Chambers Co., AL. Nancy was listed as "Nancy R." in the 1850 Lafayette Co., MS census. The F. G. Culpepper Bible also recorded Nancy's death: _________________________2nd Daughter of F. G. Culpepper _________________________(Nancy O. Culpepper) _________________________Departed this life _________________________May 5th - 1851.
