| Biography* | Nancy was born in Georgia and, when she was 16 years old, her parents moved the family by wagon train to Arkansas. After her father died in 1854, Nancy married Elias Daniel Culpepper who had come west on the same wagon train. Nancy's mother, Martha, lived with them for the rest of her life. The family tradition is that Nancy gave each of her children three names because she only had one.4 (Names referenced above: Nancy Clegg Nancy Clegg). |
