| Biography | Charles Turpin wrote on 21 Aug 2007: "Re: Frank Harold Gray's connection to the Gordon County Culpeppers "Dr. Robert M. Gray married Lula Culpepper on July 11, 1912. At the time of his marriage to Lula, Dr. Gray was the father of two children, Harold F. (10) and Susie (8), presumably from a previous marriage. "The 1920 and 1930 U.S. Census lists Dr. Gray and Lula as living in Sugar Valley, Gordon County, Georgia, with their two children Charles L. and Mary. There is no listing of Harold or Susie. I do not recall the exact year, but probably in 1933, the Grays moved to the Culpepper Farms, Curryville, Gordon County. "Charles and Mary Gray were still living at home when the Grays moved to Culpepper Farms. I do not remember Harold living with the Grays when they first moved to the Culpepper Farms. I think he moved back in with his mother and stepmother a years or so later, and I think he was still living with them at the time of Charles E. Culpepper's death in 1940. Harold often worked as a laborer on the farms. I do not know if he worked anywhere else or not." (Names referenced above: Dr. Robert Marion Gray Dr. Robert Marion Gray).4 |
