Biography* Mrs. John (Dorothy Culpepper) Wingfield preserved a 25 page typed manuscript "ONE FAMILY - CULPEPPER" written by her grandfather, Rev. George Bright Culpepper, who noted: In Talbotton, Talbot County, Georgia, in 1885, another son was born to Reverend John Butler Culpepper and his wife, Melvina, a boy who was given the name of Giley Rawls [notes from a John Butler Culpepper family packet list the name as "Giles Rawls"]. He lived only a few months [the John Butler Culpepper family packet notes that he "lived 13 mos."] and is buried in Talbotton.
