John Butler Culpepper, Jr. and Martha Ann "Annie" Williams, 20 Dec 1978: I came to know John B. at Stuttgart, Arkansas where Grandfather came to hold a meeting. J.B. was song leader and Anne was at the piano. Anne was a lovely dark, almost Latin beauty that left the Catholic Church to marry the charming John B.... Like my father and many others a bad heart took him [J. B. Culpepper, Jr.] away in his prime. Anne never recovered and spent her last days in memory of her John B. and Martha Key.
