(Joyce Culpepper) Organ wrote 28 Jul 1978 that after her husband died Cora went to live with her daughter, Corinne: Aunt Cora and my mother [Elfie May Spencer] were life-long friends (even before Mama met and married Daddy [Darius Ivan Culpepper, Cora's brother]) and always wrote each other until Aunt Cora became blind, when Corinne [Cora's daughter] took over the writing, until her mother died.
