Biography* Mrs. R. (Joyce Culpepper) Organ wrote 28 Jul 1978: The first memory of my cousins was when they moved to Comstock, Texas before I was five. My Aunt Lois and the three older ones visited with us at Uncle Jim Richardson's farm out of Poth, Texas when I was about seven and Aunt Lois brought me my first "Primer" so I could learn to read. When I was about twelve, they were living at Alpine, Texas and Uncle Lem sent for Daddy to come help work on a church being built at Marfa, Texas. I was fourteen when we moved to Uvalde Texas in August 1926. In the years following they stopped off to visit us on their way to Paris, Texas to see Grandma and Grandpa and our two aunts living there.... Still later (with the exception of Frank) the family moved to Houston, Texas, where Lem, Jr. died at about nineteen, I think) of an infection. Aunt Lois visited my parents a number of times after our family moved to San Antonio.... She and Lem came to San Antonio when my father died....
