Biography* Bell appeared to be listed as "Bell Caudell" on the marriage record in Lavaca Co., TX but her mother and brother were listed as "Cadell" in the 1900 census of Lavaca Co., TX in the household of Abe Culpepper, Bell's husband. According to Mrs. T. (Jacqueline Lorenz) McClinton in a 10 Jul 1989 letter, Bell was listed as "Bell Caudel" on the Delayed Birth Certificate of her son, Frank Miles Culpepper. In the same birth record she was listed in 1902 as having had three children only two of whom were still living. The child has not been accounted for but might have been born and died in 1900 or 1901. Bell's birth place was given as "Lavaca co." on the same birth certificate although her place of birth had been listed as Kentucky in the 1900 census.
