Biography* The following Funeral notice is from the Meriwether Vindicator for Friday, January 18, 1980: Mrs. Alice Culpepper Mrs. Alice Culpepper of Route 1, Luthersville passed away January 7th at her home following an extended illness. She was 93 years old. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 8, 1980, in the Chapel of the McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan. Rev. R. H. Broome, pastor of the Luthersville United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in the Luthersville cemetery. Pallbearers were R.E. Hunter, Albert Gill, Robert McKoon, Murray Reid, Kenneth Dial, and James McKoon. A Native and life-long resident of Meriwether County, Mrs. Culpepper was born on February 18, 1886. She was a housewife, and a member of the Luthersville United Methodist Church. Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Alma Gill of Luthersville; a brother, Aubrey McKoon of Jonesboro; and nieces and nephews. McKoon Funeral Home of Newnan was in charge of arrangements.
