| Biography* | It is not known if Sarah Katherine was born in Pike County or Fayette County. The family was in Fayette County in the 1900 census and the obituary of her father, James Wesley Culpepper, indicates that he was admitted to the Bar in 1905 and that he had been teaching for 15 years in Concord in Pike County, and in Inman and Woolsey in Fayette County. Assuming that he taught approximately five years in each town, he would have been in Fayette County for the birth of Sarah Katherine. She was known as "Kate." The following death notice is from an unknown source: GREER -- The friends and relatives of Mrs. W. Everett Greer, Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Murphy Sr., Fayetteville; Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Bowen, Newnan; nieces and nephews are invited to attend the funeral of Mrs. W. Everett (Kate Culpepper) Greer Sunday, July 2, 1972 at 4 o'clock at the Fayetteville Methodist Church, Rev. Robert L.
