Culpepper, Isham Perdue, William Perdue, Williard Perdue, Ann Perdue as the children, grandchildren, and sons-in-law of James Perdue, deceased as relinquishing all claims against the estate: Whereas Perdue did not bequeath anything to above mentioned parties in his will, but simply mentions their names; & above named are about to enter their caveat; & in order to prevent a law suit on the premises; it is agreed on the part of G[reen] H. Perdue, James K. Perdue, Hiram Perdue, Elijah Perdue & Caroline Prater [wife of Henry Prater] children of said dec'd & recipients of his last will and testament; give the plantation whereon the dec'd lived to 1st mentioned parties.... The deed was witnessed by Joseph Howard and Clarasy Perdue, widow of dec'd, rel. dower. In a related deed, O-585: John Perdue in his own name & as attorney for Lindsey Perdue, James Morgan, G. W. Culpepper, Isham Perdue, Milton Perdue, Hilliard Perdue, Ann Perdue, to Edmund Dumas for $3100, land on which James Perdue dec'd resided adjacent Joseph Howard and Early Cleveland, Elizabeth Hogan, W. J. Sikes, James K. Clements, E. Dumas The deed for 400 acres was witnessed by Charles F. Gibson. |
