Biography* BIG SANDY - James Taylor Culpepper, 65, retired employee of General Motors, died Saturday at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Big Sandy with burial in Benton Memorial Gardens in Camden. Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Culpepper, the husband of Odean Culpepper, also leaves three daughters, Gale Culpepper and Debbie Phillips, both of Big Sandy, and Clara Wyatt of Granite City, Ill; three sons, Jack Culpepper and Mike Culpepper, both of Big Sandy, and Jerry Culpepper of Granite City; his mother, Effie Culpepper of Detroit; four sisters, Jane [Culpepper] Hover and Betty [Culpepper] Geralds, both of Michigan, Bea [Culpepper] Parker of Dickson and Alice [Culpepper] Rilley of St. Louis; a brother, Herman Culpepper of Dover, and six grandchildren. (7 Feb 1993, Memphis Commercial Appeal).
