Biography* Obituary:
Dian Garrett, 62, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, March 1, 2004, in a local hospital. Mrs. Garrett was born May 19, 1941, in McCaskill, Ark. She was retired from Texarkana, Ark., School District and a member of County Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one stepson, Greg Garrett. Survivors include her husband, Frank Garrett of Texarkana; three sons, Tony Payne and Eric Payne of Texarkana and Matthew Payne of Denver; one daughter, Dana Payne of Atlanta; two stepsons, Keith Garrett of Texarkana and Randy Garrett of Little Rock; one stepdaughter, Terry Thomas of Texarkana; one sister, Brenda Robbins of Vilonia, Ark; one brother, Benny Culpepper of Nashville, Ark; and five grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. today at County Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Ozan Cemetery, Bingen, Ark., under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown. Memorials may be made to County Avenue Baptist Church Jail Ministry.1
