Mrs. Joan Hobson Culpepper, age 58, of Bessemer, died March 13, 1998. She was retired from Citrus Hill Mfg. Co., Winter Haven, Fla. with 21 years of service; member of First Baptist Church in Florida. Funeral services will be Monday, March 16, at 10:00 a.m. from Jefferson Memorial Hoover with burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens South. Rev. L. N. Oswalt officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, March 15, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. for friends. Preceded in death by husband, W. C. Culpepper and father, Burley Hobson. Survivors: sons, Michael E. Harris of Winter Haven, Fla., Willis E. Harris of Bessemer, William J. Culpepper of Winter Haven, Fla; mother, Loraine Parker of Bessemer; sister, Joanne Branam of Winter Haven, Fla; brother, Burley W. Hobson of Tuscaloosa; seven grandchildren, Kendis, Joseph Jr., Jennifer, Gregory, Tyler, Eric, and Jamie; great grandchild, Samatha. Jefferson Memorial, Hoover directing.1
