Biography* Mrs. L. H. (Marie Culpepper) Goree wrote about Jake Clark Culpepper on p. 25 of an addendum to The Life History of the Culpepper Family From 1633 to May 1949: "Attended high school in Dawson, Georgia, later graduating from Middle Georgia College at Cochran, Georgia and in 1942 received a degree from the University of Georgia, in Journalism. Entered Army in June 1942. Made a tech-sergeant in May 1943 and sailed overseas duty in 1943."
