| Biography* | | Obituary: IOWA PARK - Verba Lee Hill CULPEPPER Lofland, 88, Friday, April 30, 1999, in Iowa Park nursing home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Dutton Funeral Home with the Rev. L.R. Helms, interim pastor of Assembly of God in Loving, Texas, and the Rev. John Besse, pastor of First United Methodist of Iowa Park, officiating. Buriel will be in Crestview Memorial Park. Mrs. Lofland was born Aug. 26, 1910, in Silver Valley, Texas. She and Harry Culpepper were married May 4, 1929, in Wichita Falls. He died July 26, 1960. She and George Lofland were married Jan. 20, 1963, in Decatur, Texas. He died in 1975. She attended Holliday Schools. She was an active member of Valley View Methodist Church before moving to Iowa Park. She was involved in the First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park. She was a member of the Friendly Door Senior Citizens of Iowa Park. Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Bridges of Holliday, Texas, and Joy Gulley of Lakeside City, Texas; a half sister, Frances Ann Anderson of Missouri; and a half brother, Fred William Hill of California. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7-8 p.m. for visitation.4 |
