| Obituary* | 15 Jan 2008 | Mabel Fisher "Mamie" Culpepper. A native of Columbia and a resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at the age of 91. She retired after 25 years of service from the Louisiana Department of Conservation as an oil and gas analyst. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Tuesday Jan. 15, from 11 a.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Lee Allen. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Culpepper Brooks and husband Lynn Lyons; son, Steve Culpepper and wife Siripan; three grandchildren, Lois Stuckey, Ben Young and Adam Culpepper; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Benjamin Culpepper; and by parents, Albert L. and Edna S. Fisher. Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Young, Bert Fisher, Ray Felder, Ronnie Morgan, William Kirby Sr., Mike Kirby and William Kirby Jr. She was a charter member of the Desk and Derrick Club and a longtime member of Ingleside United Methodist Church.
