On 7 Aug 2005, Frances Charlton Dingman e-mail address of Torrance, CA wrote: "I am descended from Betsy Creekmur, who married John Wilkins and had two sons, Nicholas and John. John's son William Henry Wilkins was my ggrandfather, and my grandmother was Elizabeth Frances Wilkins (Charlton). "Grandma Betsy" lived with the W. H. Wilkins family and was fond of my grandma, Betty, who had been named after her. Family lore had Grandma Betsy living to 111 years, but she evidently stretched he story a good bit. She told Betty about being a young lady during the Revolution when the British occupied Great Bridge.".
