Obituary*1 Dec 2006 Mrs. Margaret Hiott Culpepper Davis, 76, of Walterboro, died Wednesday, November 29, 2006, in Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, GA.
     Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock Saturday, December 2, 2006, at The Brice W. Herndon & Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
     Mrs. Davis was born December 27, 1929, in Orangeburg, the daughter of the late George Earl Hiott and Mattie Ann Willis Hiott. She was first married to the late Clifton Daniel Culpepper Sr. and secondly to the late Tildon Davis. She was a member of Cottageville Baptist Church. She worked for Allied Department Store and had retired as a secretary from the Cannady Agency, Inc. She volunteered her time with the American Red Cross until her health declined. For the last three years of her life, she lived in the Atlanta area to be with her daughter, Donna.
     Surviving are her children, Debbie Daniel Gray of Alpharetta, GA, Donna Nettles Siebert and her husband, Kenneth, of Braselton, GA, Dawn Stewart and her husband, Charles Sr. of Charleston, Clifton Culpepper Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL, and Denise Kempson and her husband, Jim, of Charleston; grandchildren, Morgan Hewitt IV, Catherine Daniel, Megan Daniel, Brian Nettles, Becca Nettles, Michael Stewart Jr. and his wife, Kellie, Melissa Stewart, Mark Stewart, Matthew Stewart, Lauren Culpepper Busby, Ashley Culpepper, Neeley Culpepper, Jennings Kempson Walsh, Molly Kempson, and James Kempson III; great-grandchildren, Drew Hewitt of Mount Pleasant and Savannah Busby of Columbia; sisters-in-law, Lucille Culpepper and Virginia White, both of Walterboro. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dianne Culpepper.
