... Elizabeth Armstrong ... was born August 10, 1833,
the daughter of Moses Armstrong (born 1775 in South Carolina) and his wife Elizabeth ____________ (born in South Carolina in 1775).... Elizabeth Armstrong married Edward Whiddon on October 12, 1851 in Henry County, Alabama. Edward and Elizabeth Armstrong Whiddon had only one daughter, Elizabeth Whiddon who was born Christmas Eve, 1855. Ten years after his marriage to Elizabeth Armstrong, Edward Whiddon ... joined the Confederate
Army.... Edward lost his life in 1862 or 1863. Now a widow with an eight-year-old daughter, Elizabeth ARMSTRONG married the widower Harell/Harrod Arnold on May 2, 1864. The following year Harrell/Harrod joined Piney Grove Church by letter from another church. The couple's daughter Elizabeth Whiddon married Posey Kirkland on December 1870. The church received Elizabeth Armstrong Whiddon Arnold May 13, 1871 by profession of faith and baptism. The couple had three children, Bud, Charley, and Lucy Jane (who married Wilburn W. Folsom in Henry County on January 21, 1892).

After Harrell/Harrod Arnold died, Elizabeth ARMSTRONG Whiddon Arnold married Willis Brown on November 4, 1874.... The Browns had one child, Dillie Brown who married Theophinus W. Knowles on January 31, 1897 and never had children....
