Rison, September 26, J. P. Culpepper, age 71, a retired farmer and timberman, died here at 7 a.m. today. Funeral services will be held at the family cemetery, four miles east of Rison at 3 p.m. Thursday. He is survived by four half-brothers: Rufus, Finch W., Robert, and Tom Culpepper, all of Rison; and a step-sister, Mrs. Mary E. Clegg of Sweet Home. Another half-brother, J. L. Culpepper, died Thursday at his home at Fordyce. Mr. Culpepper was the uncle of C. G. Gillespie of Little Rock.2 
Burial* His body was interred at Bethlehem Cemetery, Cleveland Co., Arkansas.
