Biography* Olive Culpepper, daughter of Henry Culpepper and Edeah was born about 1795. She joined Northwest Baptist Church, Northwest, Virginia, on 25 June 1813. Olive married Edward Garrett, between June 1813 and November 1815, when she was mentioned in her father's will as Olive (or Alice) Garrott with a son, During Garrott.

In the 1850 Currituck Co., NC census, Olive Garrett, age 55, born in Virginia, is listed with children Samuel, age 22, born in NC; Martha (Mathias) age 17 born NC and Jennett Garrett, age 11, born in NC.

Olive was Edward Garrett's second wife. He is listed in the 1810 Currituck Co., NC census with a family. He was named guardian of Charlotte Garrott, who was probably a daughter.

Edward Garrett, born 1773, son of John Garrett and Elizabeth Cox(?) died May 1850 from consumption, age 77.. Ref. Birth, death and cause of death. 1850 Curr. Co. Mortality census. Edward is listed in his mother's will in Curr. Co., NC WB 3, 21 Oct. 1827. May 1828.

     (3) Sarah Garrett born 1 May 1824 at Moyock, NC. Never married.
     (4) Samuel S. Garrett born 1830 at Moyock, NC died after 1873, married (1) Milbrey Wiggenton (2) On 3 October 1873 Camden Co., NC. Samuel S. Garrett, son of Edward and Olive Garrett, late of Currituck Co., NC. Married Mary Brite, daughter of James and Milbrey Wiggenton, late of Norfolk Co., Virginia. Ref. Camden Co. NC marriages. Note. Mary and Milbrey could have been sisters. Samuel's first wife is listed in 1850 Curr. Co. census born in Virginia.
     (5) Henry M. Garrett born 21 June 1831 at Moyock, NC died aft. 1880 in Norfolk Co., VA. He married on 21 June 1855, at Moyock, NC, Nancy McPherson, daughter of Noah McPherson and Nancy Etheridge.
     (6) Mathias Garrett born abt.1833, Moyock, NC died about 1908 at age 75, married 10 July 1856, at Moyock, NC Mary Frances Denby.
     (7) Jeanette Anne Kizzie Garrett born Sept. 1839 at Moyock, NC and died 30 May 1878 at Moyock, NC. She married on 3 Feb. 1861, at Moyock, NC, Richard Johnson Powers, son of George Washington and Jacomine Powers Powers.4
